Whittlesford, South Cambridgeshire
Set within a sensitive site next to a 13th Century inn and chapel, this development was designed to provide hotel accommodation to complement the existing hotel's function space and restaurant facilities.
The design, which was developed through a sensitive study of the context, manipulation of the massing and a careful selection of materials, manages to overcome significant challenges and sits comfortably among the historic buildings on the site.
