Glasgow City Centre

Ica Interiors are developing proposals for this new hotel brand, one of the first to appear in the centre of UK cities. Combining the best aspects of boutique hotel design, and the quality assurance of a major brand, this hotel will become one of the best hotel destinations in Glasgow.

The interior design will evoke the rich history of the building, constructed in 1892 to act as Glasgow's first power station, ten years after Thomas Edison first patented his electric distribution system and electric light bulb in America. This theme of an industrial past and of illuminating electric light will be weaved throughout the interior design proposals. The fabric of the building will be restored to celebrate and reflect the building's past and origins, then a colourful richly textured interior design will be used to create a modern fresh feel for the guest..
